Science Based Targets Initiative

The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) drives ambitious corporate climate action by setting science-based emissions reduction targets. These transparent targets show the magnitude, and the haste companies should act on, to reduce their GHG emissions to prevent the worst effects of climate change. 1000+ companies have set or committed to set targets through SBTi.

The initiative enables “GHG emissions reduction targets that are consistent with the level of decarbonisation that, according to climate science, is required to keep global temperature increase within 1.5C to 2C compared to pre-industrial temperature levels”.
