Other Environmental Neutrality
WaterNeutral® Certification

Our co-proprietary WaterNeutral® Certification is designed to recognize businesses that have made significant, sustained efforts to manage and mitigate their water footprints. This certification is awarded to organizations that regularly quantify their water consumption and wastage, implement internal changes to minimize usage, and invest in medium to long-term replenishment projects that return equivalent amounts of water to natural bodies or provide clean water access to communities.

The WaterNeutral® Certification is based on the ‘Water Neutrality’ concept first coined by the Water Footprint Network in the Netherlands, and it incorporates best practices from global standards and studies, including the UNGC Water Stewardship, Carbon Trust Standard for Water, and ISO 14046:2014 Water Footprint Standard.

The certification process is built around four key pillars:

-
Review: Conduct thorough water audits to assess consumption and wastage.

-
Reduce: Implement measures to minimize freshwater use through reuse and recycling.

-
Reuse: Optimize water efficiency by incorporating recycling practices within operations.

-
Replenish: Invest in projects that promote sustainable and equitable water use, ensuring the replenishment of water resources.

By achieving WaterNeutral® Certification, businesses demonstrate their commitment to sustainable water management and contribute to the responsible stewardship of this vital resource.

PlasticNeutral® Certification

Our co-proprietary PlasticNeutral® Certification is designed to recognize businesses that have taken significant steps to manage and mitigate their plastic footprints. This certification can be awarded to any business entity, service, or product that quantifies its plastic usage, implements internal changes to reduce consumption, and offsets the remaining footprint by obtaining Plastic Credits from registered Plastic Recycling Projects.
The PlasticNeutral® Certification process follows a ‘3R Approach’:

-
Review: Measure your Plastic Footprint, including usage and leakage.

-
Reduce: Implement measures to mitigate your plastic footprint as much as reasonably possible.

-
Recover: Reuse and recycle plastics where possible, and neutralize any residual footprint by supporting Waste Collection and Recycling Projects in exchange for Plastic Credits.

This certification is awarded in accordance with the SFG Plastic Neutrality Guidelines, developed with reference to the internationally recognized VCS Plastic Standard. By achieving PlasticNeutral® Certification, businesses demonstrate their commitment to reducing plastic waste and supporting sustainable recycling initiatives.
